Please read and understand the following policies for both clients and therapists:

We need to receive 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel an appointment. This gives us enough time to offer the spot to another client and maintain consistent service. 

Policies: 

If you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, it will be considered a late cancellation, and we will charge you half of the appointment fee. This payment is due on the same day of the scheduled appointment. You will need to pay this to schedule future appointments. 

If you miss the session without cancelling, it will be considered a missed appointment, and we will charge you half the session fee. This payment is due on the same day of the scheduled appointment. You will need to pay this to schedule future appointments. 

We encourage you to contact your insurance provider, who may not cover late cancellations or missed appointments as part of your plan. 

Exceptions: 

Our therapists will also follow this policy in cases of double-booking, making alternate plans, or forgetting an appointment. However, we understand that emergencies do arise and do not always allow for 24-hour notice. In the case of a medical emergency, we will waive the above policy and not expect payment for a missed appointment. 

Please speak with your therapist to set up email and text reminders from Owl Practice. While we appreciate the convenience of technology, these reminders are simply a courtesy, as technology can have flaws. Therefore, clients are still expected to monitor and manage their appointments. 

Our Commitment To Our Patients: 

Our therapists will also agree to abide by this policy. They will provide at least 24 hours notice if they need to cancel or reschedule, and they will do their absolute best to notify the client(s) as soon as possible in case of an emergency.
