I’m a psychotherapist with over 20 years of experience in healthcare, education, and mental health. My journey began as a Respiratory Therapist, where I worked in hospitals, homes, and classrooms, gaining valuable insights into diverse cultures and challenges. I’ve also trained healthcare teams internationally and managed hospital operations abroad, experiences that shaped my ability to connect with people from all walks of life.
I hold two Master’s degrees—one in Adult Learning and another in Counselling Psychology—and a diploma in Respiratory Therapy. This unique blend of education and experience allows me to take a holistic, compassionate approach to therapy.
I specialize in supporting adults and teenagers (ages 12 and up) facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, body image, parenting, and relationship issues. My passion for neuroscience, the mind-body connection, and wellness drives me to continuously expand my knowledge and tools to better support my clients.
In therapy, I believe in teamwork, creativity, and practicality. Each session is tailored to your unique needs, whether through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Mindfulness, or other approaches. I have spent 20+ years working in mental health, becoming a psychotherapist was a natural next step for me because, through my experience and education, I have learned a lot about coping strategies that work, recognizing triggers that cause bad feelings, and what can be done about those bad feelings once they come.
Together we can look at ways to make symptoms of mental health a little bit easier to deal with, to make hard choices a little bit easier to make, and to regulate feelings that might seem out of control.
